DEEPLY ROOTED IN THE POWER OF PURPOSE
My Philosophy // mon atelier
l’Atelier (m.): French, for studio or workshop. It’s what I like to call this space of health that I’ve created over the past few years. It’s a place for all of us to build healthy lives, as I serve as your partner in the lifestyle and behavior change process. My philosophy around health is that it’s meant to be something that allows you to live a full life, whatever that means to you individually. I believe deeply that health is the foundation of life. These days, it can seem pretty complicated and overwhelming, especially with the rise of social media. But health is actually quite simple. By going back to the basics, and seeing that a healthy life is one that’s full of pleasure, quality, connection, and presence, you’re able to live your healthiest, and genuinely happiest life.
A bit more about me
Hi, I’m Lauren. I’m a National Board Certified Health and Wellness Coach (NBC-HWC) who empowers clients to embark on a preventive health journey through the practice of leaning back to the basics and prioritizing quality, connection, and pleasure. My own health story really began by living in France (and speaking French). When you learn a second language, you open your mind to a new way of perceiving the world. The same words may hold different meanings, and the lifestyle you’re surrounded by introduces you to, well, new ways of living. As I observed the culture around me, I noticed something significant. Health seemed to come effortlessly to the French. Statistically, the French live longer, healthier lives than Americans - all while drinking wine, eating bread & cheese, and never obsessing over the gym. It was this paradox, along with my own experience of healthcare frustrations, that drove me to become a health coach. Ultimately, my mission is simple: to empower you to be your own best advocate, and live your most joyful, purposeful life, with health built into the foundation, supporting everything else. Together, we focus on behavioral changes and lifestyle habits that make a real, lasting, enjoyable difference.
Living in France showed me that health is less about location and more about intention - and that no matter where you are in the world, you get to choose how you live, care for yourself, and enjoy your life.
Here’s to health that feels good!
